SOME GOOD NEWS FOR THE CHIEF – AT 10:54 A.M. ET: The polls have not been kind to President Trump, but one has just come out that might bring him some pleasure. From Bloomberg:
COMMENT: America right now does not have a leading figure who attracts widespread bipartisan support. We had that in Dwight Eisenhower, and Ronald Reagan did attract Democratic votes in the person of the Reagan Democrats, working people who normally voted Democratic but who were fed up with the Democratic Party. It was the new generation of "Reagan Democrats" who helped put Donald Trump in the Oval Office. As far as Hillary is concerned, I think she's seen as a sore loser, and that image has never helped anyone. She has presented one excuse after another for losing the election. And her hints that she might run again have not improved her standing. July 18, 2017
